Visions for this project

Let’s think big and start with small steady steps such as adding more stories about planets who ended all wars – writers and co-writers are welcome, as are comedians, illustrators, theatre creators and film makers.

Everything begins in the mind. Stories can open the mind to new possibilities. A story can even make something desirable which was little more than an impossible thought before.

As I have learned in the last fourteen months, there are tools which can help us to understand ourselves better and to shape our minds and our connections to each other. I would love to see introductions of tools like breathing, meditation and yoga on this website as well as videos with examples of practices, brought here by people from around the globe for the future of our planet.

I would also welcome contributions on psychology, neurology, biology, ecology, sociology, anything really that can help us to discover why we consider violence as an option, and how we can heal so that we no longer resort to violence.

There are a few ideas which require excellent programmers. Well, the first idea is probably easy to solve: a global survey of Who wants war? and another one of Who wants the end of all wars? The more difficult digital project is a simulation which illustrates what the planet would look like if we had never waged war, and what our planet will look like once we have ended all wars. The second simulation would include how much money and resources we could redirect to building and nurturing.

Contributions from visual artists, be it paintings, graphic novels or videos are also welcome.

Now I will take a big leap. I not only see this website get translated into every language and dialect of our planet, with people from every corner and walk of life contributing to it. I also see The end of all wars centres around the globe. Places where people can learn breathing and meditation techniques, where they can explore their hurt souls, where they can find their roots of war and deal with them. War starts in our minds as do the first steps towards ending all wars.

A little caution here. I am not a spiritual person, and I have a very sensitive radar when it comes to fanaticism, absolute answers, the one and only philosophy, sides, us and them, or people cults. Generally, I see the benefits of breathing, mediation and yoga, and I do so in a practical manner. That’s the kind of contributions, I’d like to see in our efforts to end all wars. Also, if you are a religious person, you might want to read planet one, the roots of war, before considering a contribution.

And then, of course, once we have flooded the planet with ideas of how to end all wars, it will be time to actually do it. The good thing is, by then we might have a pretty good idea of how of all the ways it be done – and we can use them all at the same time.

Of course, even for the first steps a budget is needed, and I welcome assistance for sourcing funds.

If you would like to contribute or spitball ideas for a story, a contribution or funding options, please, get in touch.

The good thing is, ending all wars is tightly connected to restoring our planet, at least, if the story The roots of war is to be believed.

Saying this, I am happy to open a similar project for the end of the destruction of our natural world.

Everything begins with a thought. A thought might turn into an idea. An idea might be the first seed for a story. A story can inspire and open windows and doors.
