The end of all wars is a collection of stories, each featuring a planet in the universe and a testimony of how its people ended all wars.

And yes, they do. Over forty planets have popped up in my notes, so far, and they all find a way to end all wars for good.

Planet one, the roots of war, is one of the special cases. To start with, it’s a longer story. The testimonies of other planets usually range between one to twelve pages.

Also, planet one explores a wider range of issues, starting at the very beginning with the big question: what (the heck) is war?

A discussion about dominance and divides, accidentally leads them to debunk the predator and prey narrative (and others), and they get some unexpected insights into the natural world.

Facing a few troubles themselves, the thinkers of this story continue to explore the seeds of war, and eventually make their plans for how to end all wars and how to reshape life on their planet afterwards.

The shorter testimonies of the other planets usually focus on one tool to end all wars such as laughter, the body, the big clean-up, or resolve. Take a look at those testimonies which are briefly introduced on the page: More planets >

The end of all wars is part of a bigger collection called Views from around the universe.

This is how it happened: I got so angry when Russia started the war in Ukraine that I needed an outlet and I needed distance. So I fled into the universe and imaged that there are thousands of inhabited planets whose citizens are increasingly worried about the state of planet Earth and who finally agreed to share at least some of their insights and stories with planet Earth.

At the beginning it was collection of statements of how the universe defines: strongmen, leadership, war and related topics. By now the collection is much bigger and also includes some curious topics such as humans and feeding dugs or zebra.

Some contributions by Views from around the universe are available on this website now.
